\nIn Race 1 at the Estoril circuit the Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team took a splendid second place, thanks to a fantastic performance by Lorenzo Baldassari.<\/p>\n

Day 2 opened with the Superpole, decisive in deciding the starting grid. Baldassarri put in nine laps, taking an excellent fourth position, one tenth off the front row.<\/p>\n

At 15.15 Italian time, the lights went out for Race 1.
\nAuthor of a difficult start, Baldassarri finished the first lap in ninth place, and then began his comeback. Arriving in fourth position at the halfway point of the race, the Italian rider continued to make fast laps, eventually taking a splendid second position.<\/p>\n

By virtue of today’s results Baldassarri holds second position in the general standings, with 85 points.<\/p>\n

Tomorrow the Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team will take to the track again, first for the Warm Up (10.25 Italian time) and then for Race 2, scheduled at 13.30 Italian time.<\/p>\n

“It was a good race, with a good pace and useful to gather important information for tomorrow. The goal was not to let Aegerter get away, but after my bad start and Van Straalen’s crash, we couldn’t do it. Now focus on tomorrow: I’m looking forward to the race.”<\/i><\/p>\n
